Share our love of handbags, books, and all things gossip...okay, and Twilight too.

We're two delightfully crass gals who spend an inordinate amount of time texting and e-mailing one another throughout the day. We've decided to expound on some of our best work. Please to enjoy.

BlogoWriMo Day 30

We have reached the final day of BlogoWriMo. I know, a tear is coming to your eye, but I urge you to wipe it away. I'm not going to let the last 30 days, the hundreds of words written, the questionable pics uploaded, all fade to black just when I've built you up to a fevered pitch and then shower you in feathers. No, I'm going to keep going. I know some of you doubted me and were taking bets on how long I would last...you know who you are...and I'm going to come and hunt you down like Laurent racing from the wolf pack. Yup, just like that.

You all have been awesome with your comment love and have raised a bunch of money for
CCFA! I will have the final tally tomorrow. Yup...a post tomorrow...well unless this stomach thing really gets serious (thanks SIL FC...seriously, you shouldn't have hugged me).

But I have been pondering the things that I have missed out on in the last month because I have been blogging like a mad-woman. Okay, not a mad-woman exactly, I will be the first to admit that I phoned some of those posts in and/or pulled them out of my ass...yes the smelled like ass too. So here are some of the things that I missed this past month:

  1. Blog trolling - and I know you have all missed my outlandish comments on your blogs; and everyone has changed their blog designs! Simply gorgeous ladies!

  2. Fanfic induced wet panties - my inbox looks like a who's who of naughty written deliciousness; it's going to take a while to get through all of it; and yes SIL FC, I will beta chapter 2 of AFLB!

Now back to the reason I started BlogoWriMo...to copycat support all of the lovely ladies who participated in NaNoWriMo:

Fragile Littel Human
COD Widow
onepushyfox
uhyesplease
EyesofAmberBlog
Honolulu Girl

So, how did they do? Well, I'm not really sure. You'll have to ask them yourselves since I was otherwise occupied. Perhaps they will let us all know in the comments! So who's up for the challenge next year? I will do BlogoWriMo again next year, so some of you better do NaNoWriMo!

So what did you miss while I was blogging? Did you miss Bitches? Tell her how much you heart her and can't wait to see some new stuff from her. Trust me, she has some stupendous posts coming up.
Love you all...and there is still time to comment! I'm taking comments until 11:59 PM EST tonight! Do it...or else it's going to get really ugly up in here (um, yeah, that's kind of a quote from Jacob in NM, but you know I can't quote movies to save my life)!

30 Posts in 30 Days

In honor of a fragile little human's commitment to write her first original story, Colloquial, during NaNoWriMo, I am committing to writing 30 posts in 30 days . What's NaNoWriMo anyway?

National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.

Valuing enthusiasm and perseverance over painstaking craft, NaNoWriMo is a novel-writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel but has been scared away by the time and effort involved.

Because of the limited writing window, the ONLY thing that matters in NaNoWriMo is output. It’s all about quantity, not quality. The kamikaze approach forces you to lower your expectations, take risks, and write on the fly.

Make no mistake: You will be writing a lot of crap. And that’s a good thing. By forcing yourself to write so intensely, you are giving yourself permission to make mistakes. To forgo the endless tweaking and editing and just create. To build without tearing down.

Guess who else is participating in NaNoWriMo?

I know writing 30 posts isn't really a big deal considering these ladies will all be writing 50,000 words each in 30 days and tons of other bloggers do it every day, but we haven't ever done a post a day here! I'm not promising that any of the posts will actually be good or even readable, and we will probably lose followers, but too bad. So starting November 1, brace yourselves. WeBitePrettyHard is going to have a new post every day! And don't worry, I promise we won't have Twilight news or spoilers.

And just to make this interesting, for every comment that I get on posts written during NaNoWriMo, starting November 1 12:00 AM EST through November 30 11:59 PM EST, I will donate $1 to CCFA (Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America).
This is an organization near and dear to fragile, and I hope that I get to send them a big donation*! Plus your comments will help to spur me on!

So go check out
fragile's post about her new story and make sure you comment every day on this blog in November! Tell your friends, neighbors, and that creepy guy down the hall that you have been secretly crushing on for months.

Can you guess who made this awesome banner?
